Tannery machines

Buffing machines are designed for buffing and smoothing all leathers continuously. Using an appropriate abrasive paper wound around a cylinder, leathers are smoothed by the buffing process and come out with a uniform and smooth finish. The heavy structure of OPTIMA buffing machines allows the use of thick rollers and therefore more powerful motors that make the machine more performing and guarantees greater stability over time. The model OPTIMA, in accordance with the needs of the various processes, is successfully used to buff different kind of leathers and other materials.

Dedusting machine are designed for removing dust residues from the leathers, both on the flesh side and on the grain side, through the combined action of air blowing heads and extractor hoods. The model AIRMAX can be installed behind various machines, for example buffing machines, or they can be used independently and moved according to the needs.

Briquetting machines are designed to compact the dust coming from the buffing process, converting it in a briquette Ø100 mm, easy to manage and transport for its final disposal. The machine is available in different configurations according to production needs and space requirements.

Testing drums in stainless steel where hides are processed in various stages of the production cycle (liming, tanning, retanning and dyeing). Testing drums are used both for laboratory tests and for production and are available in the VGI and VG models, as described in the depliants below.

The production ranges from models Ø400 mm (capacity 2 kg) up to Ø2100 mm (capacity 500 kg) with one or two chambers.

The extractors are designed to extract the grain and the splits of leathers automatically and are applied after splitting machines in lime, wet blue or dry. The structure is in stainless steel.
The ES-R extractors are applied on board the splitting machine and the movement for the maintenance works by means of hydraulic pistons.
The ES-M extractors have the structure mounted on wheels, sliding on rails, to ease the movement for the maintenance. On request, it is possible to equip the extractor with a conveyor belt for the transport of split to the back side of the machine and/or with a grain discharge conveyor to the left and right side.

Polishing machines are robust, reliable and versatile machines that allow a quick and efficient polishing of the leathers. Possibility of setting up the machine with various types of operator roller:
• wool covered roller, with “V” structure grooves, consisting of a series of 100% wool discs
• amber stone “Naxos” roller with grooves
• cotton roller for abrasived material and wax “Brush Off” device
• buffing roller, oscillator device and suitable rubber transport roller
